The firm

Built to decide where growth is made.

Divergent Logic is a growth decision and operating partner for commerce brands. It exists to connect the strategy that explains growth, the innovation that expands it, the execution that produces it and the measurement that shows whether it worked.

The reason

Teams rarely operate as one commercial system.

Strategy, innovation, measurement, prioritization, learning and execution often sit with different teams, each working to different objectives, cadences and scoreboards. The issue is rarely capability; it is the absence of shared commercial logic, clear decision rights and a common view of what should happen next.

Divergent Logic connects those disciplines around the same commercial question, evidence and definition of progress, so teams can act as a cohesive force and translate better decisions into coordinated growth.

The vision

Brands that know why they win.
And never assume it’s why they’ll win next.

Confidence without complacency: understand and strengthen current advantage while remaining restless about what creates the next one.

The mission

We help brands make better growth decisions, act on them with confidence, and learn from what happens next.

The founder

Gautham Maediratta

Gautham has spent more than twenty years building businesses across North America (Canada and the US), the wider APAC region and India, working across digital media, commerce, platforms and analytics.

He has built and led businesses across WPP, Omnicom and Microsoft. As COO of Mindshare FAST APAC, he held annual operating responsibility for more than $2B in digital media investment and built a programmatic business exceeding $350M. The recurring work was rarely confined to one discipline. It was connecting media, commerce, data and operations so they answered to one commercial logic rather than separate specialist agendas.

Earlier ventures include The 2045 Collective and QuantumPath. QuantumPath was an early mover in agentic media buying and was acquired by JWX in 2026. Divergent Logic is his third venture. This proximity to building and execution matters. It is where a strategy proves whether it can survive a live market, a constrained team and an imperfect data environment.

Divergent Logic distills that experience into a deliberately lean firm. Senior judgment remains close to the work. Specialists join when the problem requires them. The method makes the thinking repeatable, while the weekly operating cycle keeps it accountable to what happens next.

The premise is simple: growth is a decision problem before it becomes an activity problem. A brand that can see the whole decision can allocate and operate with greater clarity than one that sees only the last observable action.

How we think

Five disciplines, applied to every decision.

01

Evidence before opinion.

Start with what can be observed, measured or established. Make the line between fact, inference and hypothesis explicit.

02

Think divergently.

Challenge inherited assumptions, explore competing explanations and look beyond conventional boundaries.

03

Effectiveness over activity.

Judge the work by better decisions and incremental commercial outcomes, not by the volume of activity produced.

04

Trust through transparency.

Make material recommendations traceable. Expose assumptions, uncertainty, alternatives and limitations.

05

Learn. Unlearn. Rebalance.

Learn from outcomes, challenge assumptions that no longer hold, and rebalance attention, investment and action as conditions change.

The model

Senior throughout, by design.

The firm runs on a method, operated weekly, with senior judgment applied directly to the work. The person who forms the commercial point of view remains close to the execution, and the operating cadence ends in decisions rather than a retrospective description of activity.

The team

Lean at the center, deep on demand.

Specialists are engaged for the work that requires their particular depth, not added as permanent layers between the client and the decision. The core team stays small and senior, which keeps judgment concentrated and coordination cost controlled.

The stance

Partner-agnostic by design.

Recommendations begin with the client's economics and the job each surface needs to perform. Platform, vendor and specialist choices follow that decision. This leaves room to recommend more investment, less investment or a different path entirely.

The next step

Bring us the decision in front of you.
